Eco friendly and energy efficient

 

YTONG blocks are in fact, “Autoclaved Aerated Concrete” (AAC) products also well known as “Autoclaved Lightweight Concrete” (ALC) products or “Autoclaved Cellular Concrete” (ACC) that are environmentally friendly and non-toxic blocks.

 

Did you know that 40% of the energy consumed in Europe is only used for cooling homes? Much of this energy could be saved if the new raised buildings would be energy efficient and therefore Eco-friendly.

 

Also, for the environmental health is important that the material used for a building construction to be made of natural materials, which on long-term does not affect Eco-system. For example, a BCA type masonry is produced using only sand, lime, cement and water – all environmentally friendly materials.

The new block first hit the market in Denmark in 2011 to the delight of local architects, planners, and builders. Ytong Energy+ is a sustainable, environmentally friendly product: From production to shipment and disposal, Ytong Energy+ is part of a closed cycle. We manufacture the block using mineral raw materials, reuse all waste, circulate dust and condensation back into the production process, and convert production waste into granulate for use, for instance, as an oil binding agent or leveling compound. If properly separated following building demolition, Ytong building materials are 100 percent recyclable. Cradle to Cradle Certified.Due to its outstanding sustainability, Ytong Energy+ received the coveted Cradle to Cradle certificate from the Environmental Protection Encouragement Agency (EPEA) GmbH in August 2011. Cradle to Cradle products are the opposite of “cradle to grave” products, which completely lose their value by the end of their life cycle. Starting in production, Cradle to Cradle products produce no waste when they are manufactured and – like nature itself – never become waste. The highly insulating Aerated Concrete blocks can be used for outher load bearing walls with thin bed layer mortar, or non load bearing walls with thin bed layer mortar.

Defined materials, ingredients and additives

The Ytong Energy PLUS blocks are produced from Sand, Lime, Cement and Aluminium Oxide. The outher layers are made from Aerated Concrete with a density of 340 kg/m3 the the core is made from a highly insulating Autoclaved Aerated Concrete with a density of 115 kg/m3 The thermal conductivity 10 dry is (P=90%) : 0,0899 W/mK

Defined pathway
